How To Delete Your Account
In the Tailstory app, open Profile, choose Delete account, and confirm the deletion request. This is the fastest way to start deletion because the app can identify your signed-in account.
If you cannot access the app, request deletion by email at hello@tailstory.app. Use the subject "Tailstory account deletion request" and include the email address or phone number associated with your Tailstory account. We may ask you to verify account ownership before deleting data.

What Is Deleted
Account deletion is intended to delete your Tailstory account record and personal data associated with that account, including profile information, authentication identifiers, consent records, pet profiles, diary entries, documents, photos, feeding and walk records, body-atlas markers, family access records, push tokens, and other account content that is no longer needed to provide the service.
What May Be Retained
We may retain limited information when necessary for legitimate reasons such as security, fraud prevention, abuse investigation, accounting, tax, legal compliance, dispute resolution, enforcing our Terms, or backup recovery. Backup copies may take additional time to expire or be overwritten.
If some information must be retained, we will limit it to the purpose that requires retention and will not use it to continue providing an active Tailstory account.
Subscriptions
Deleting your Tailstory account does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. If you purchased Premium through Apple or Google, cancel the subscription in the store subscription settings to stop future renewals. Store refund rules continue to apply.
Processing Time
In-app deletion requests may be processed automatically or manually depending on account state. Email requests require verification. We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days unless a longer period is required or permitted by applicable law.
